Vision
Improve the lives and livelihoods of the diverse agronomic and horticultural stakeholders situated at the urban-rural interface in the Middle Rio Grande Valley by conducting innovative and impactful research and Extension Programs.
Mission
The Agricultural Science Center (ASC) at Los Lunas is impacting the lives of New Mexicans in the Middle Rio Grande Valley and enhancing sustainability of natural resources through research and Extension programming on traditional crops, urban, agricultural, water-wise landscapes, and other plant-based systems relevant to the region. Through a cooperative agreement with the USDA-NRCS Los Lunas Plant Materials Center (PMC), the ASC and PMC work together to solve critical water and soil conservation issues.
